PUBG Ban: 3 Indian Cricketers Who’ll Be The Most Affected By The Indian Government’s Decision

The Government of India on Wednesday decided to ban a total of 118 Chinese apps and one of the most popular apps in India, Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG)  has also come under fire. The Indian Cricket Team also has a plethora of cricketers who have been playing the game extensively. The Indian government’s move came after tensions between India and China arose on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Prior to this, the Indian government had previously banned a total of 59 Chinese apps. However, Player Unknown’s Battleground was one such application that was under surveillance for a long time now and as the conflict between India and China arose, the Indian government took no time in taking the long-awaited step. Indian cricketers were also ardent followers of the game and now, we’ll take a look at the 3 Indian cricketers who will be affected by the ban imposed by the Indian government.

3. Yuzvendra Chahal

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also played PUBG extensively and was one of the most ardent followers of the game. He once revealed that he and MS Dhoni play PUBG together.

The leg-spinner added, “Mahi bhai and I play PUBG together sometimes (laughs). Seven-eight people play PUBG for two hours. We go for dinners, [have] fun. It’s a big thing to play under Mahi bhai. He was my first captain. Whenever we need help in bowling, Kuldeep (Yadav) and I always ask him.”

CSK pacer Deepak Chahar has revealed that the skipper has now lost that old touch when it comes to playing PUBG. Chahar has also been out of the game for the past two-three months because of injury. He was also waiting to make a comeback in IPL 2020. Amid the lockdown, the IPL franchise interviewed Chahar to know what he is doing in his break and also asked some questions to him. During the candid chat, Chahar revealed that last time when Dhoni played with him, he struggled to play in PUBG.

“Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) doesn’t play as much, but I still play. Mahi bhai is playing a different game now,” said Chahar. “Yeah, sometime back he got back to playing PubG but had lost touch. He couldn’t figure out who was shooting from where. He clearly was looking out of touch,” he said.

Sakshi Dhoni, wife of wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni on Sunday said that the former India skipper is addicted to the uber-popular game ‘PUBG’ and now he even talks about it during his sleep. Sakshi Dhoni was doing an Instagram live session on the official handle of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and it was then that she was asked what the former India skipper is up to these days.

“He has got a thinking brain, it does not rest. When he plays video games, it helps him divert his mind, which is a good thing. Nowadays PUBG has encroached my bed. Mahi is sleep talking about PUBG these days,” Sakshi said during the interaction.
