Indian cricketers are ready to enter the new era of Test cricket as they will play their first-ever day-night Test match with the pink ball in this month. Eden Gardens (Kolkata) will host the second and final Test of the series between India and Bangladesh from 22nd November. The Kolkata Test will be the day-night Test which will be also the first day-night Test experience for both India and Bangladesh.

Till the date, India have organised very limited numbers of day-night pink-ball multi-day games. Among the current Indian Test squad, ten players have experienced this special game in domestic cricket. Here we have briefly discussed these Indian players.

Mayank Agarwal

Indian opener Mayank Agarwal played in the 2016/17 Duleep Trophy. While he served in India Blue, he finished the tournament as the second most run-scorer. The right-handed batsman scored 420 runs in three innings (average 84.00) and played a big role for his team to win that tournament. In that tournament, he scored 92, 161, 58, 57 and 52 runs respectively.

Rohit Sharma

The new Test opener Rohit Sharma played only one game during the 2016/17 Duleep Trophy. He represented India Blue in the final of that tournament against India Red. In that game, he scored 30 and 32* runs.
