Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh had announced his retirement from international cricket last week. The legendary all rounder also declared that he will no longer be part of IPL.
However, he did drop a hint of playing in domestic T20 leagues across the world for at least a year or two. The southpaw got no objection certificate from BCCI after discussing with the board post his retirement announcement.
Days after his retirement, Canada’s T20 league GT20 has announced that Yuvraj Singh will play for Toronto Nationals later this year. The league is one of the best lower domestic T20 setups in the world. On the other hand, both David Warner and Steven Smith used it as a platform last year during their ban phase.

The news comes as a sweet one for Yuvraj Singh fans. The 38-year old did not feature regularly for Mumbai Indians earlier this year in IPL. With his playing days limited, every opportunity to see Yuvraj Singh bat will be like a gold dust to his fans.
On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh had revealed that he wants to play foreign leagues to enjoy the game once again. He revealed that the stress to make a comeback to international cricket had only increased burden and scrutiny.
Yuvraj Singh is one of the best limited overs cricketers in the world in 21st century.
The Punjabi batsman has always played his best for India. He earned millions of fans with his elegance. He is arguably the greatest match winner for India in ODI cricket. On the other hand, he was India’s main player in their 2007, 2011 triumphs in the mega event.
However, he suffered from a deadly cancer disease post winning Man of the tournament in World Cup 2011. Life has shown plenty of ups and downs for Yuvraj Singh both personally and professionally.
But he continued to rise from the ashes like a phoenix every time. With no stress of performing on his back, we do hope that we can see Yuvraj Singh back at his brilliant best in Canada later this year.
