Injured-Kedar Jadhav Likely To Be Fit For ICC World Cup 2019
It has been a brilliant season for Kedar Jadhav in the Indian National Cricket Team. However, it wasn’t the same in the CSK unit, as he failed to score runs for the team consistently. In between, he suffered a shoulder injury, which kept his position in the team for the World Cup in a jeopardy.
Kedar Jadhav hurt his shoulder when he attempted a diving stop near the boundary fence against Kings XI Punjab. He was immediately taken out of the game and was sent to the doctors for scanning. The reports finally emerged out, which ruled him out from the IPL 2019.
Chennai Super Kings on Monday confirmed that Kedar Jadhav would not be taking any further part in the remaining matches of IPL 2019. He sustained a shoulder injury in the last league match of the season. However, they haven’t revealed any recovery period of his injury.
Grade 1 Trauma Injury:
Meanwhile, as per the reports, it is learnt that Jadhav has undergone a grade one trauma injury. Further, it comes to be known that the cricketer will regain his fitness ahead of the showpiece event. Surprisingly, BCCI is yet to release a statement on his availability for the grand event.
“It is premature to say anything but our inputs are that he will be available for the World Cup. The Indian team physio and the CSK staff are in touch with each other and we gather that everything should be okay. But we can say only after the tests in Chennai. We can say with certainty on Tuesday,” a team official said.
Kedar Jadhav has been prone to injuries in the past. The Chennai Super Kings all-rounder missed IPL 2018 after playing just one match due to a hamstring injury.
Jadhav went on to miss India’s tour of England last year and suffered a recurrence of the injury on his return to the senior national team during last year’s Asia Cup in September. India will reportedly be leaving to England on May 22 while their opener is against South Africa on June 5.
