IPL 2017 MATCH 45 : Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils – MI Predicted XI

If there is one team who has already made their way to the playoffs, then, that is the Mumbai Indians. Having had a history of starting poorly, they have turned the tables this season. They began their campaign all guns blazing and are sitting pretty at the top of the table with 16 points from 10 games.

What the Mumbai Indians side did manage from the beginning of the IPL was to maintain the balance of the side. This side has all its bases covered. They have plenty of match winners, on their day, who can single-handedly steer the ship. The arrival of Nitish Rana has sorted out the middle order woes and Rohit Sharma has also come back to form after a slow start.

The MI side will be aiming to finish well and finish as one of the top two teams on the points table so that they get two cracks at qualifying for the final, and then possibly win the IPL for the third time. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils missing out their captain Zaheer khan has lately won matches back to back and can make it to the top spots if they keep up the momentum.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTER:

Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs in their Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede Stadium. Put to bat first, DD scored 142/8. Chasing, the MI lost six wickets quickly but Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada kept them in the hunt before they ultimately lost. Kagiso Rabada (44) and Chris Morris (52*) kept Delhi Daredevils in the hunt with a 91-run partnership for the seventh wicket but the visitors ultimately fell short. Jos Buttler top-scored with 28 while Kieron Pollard (26) and Hardik Pandya (24) were the only batsmen to get some runs in otherwise disappointing innings for MI. But their bowlers, especially Mitchell McClenaghan (3/24) engineered a stunning comeback before Rabada and Morris’s resistance.
