After a month of a half of intense action, Chennai Super Kings has been crowned as the Vivo IPL champions for the 3rd time in their history of IPL. It was a strong performance by Chennai in the final of the tournament. Riding on a sensational knock from the blade of Shane Watson, CSK won the final by 8 wickets. It was a terrific tournament, to say the least, and it indeed allowed some of the unknown names to make an impression for themselves.

Some of the young players have made a big impact and in the tournament and is expected to garner a much higher price in the next edition of the tournament. Over the years we have witnessed several young and local players who have performed well in the IPL get a national call-up and it might well turn out to be the case in the coming few months.
So with the 11th season of IPL done and dusted let us have a look at 5 players who played well in their debut seasons for their respective franchises.
Mayank Markande- Mumbai Indians
The young leggie finished the tournament with most wickets by an uncapped bowler. He bagged 15 wickets in the tournament. The 20-year-old was given an opportunity ahead of the Rahul Chahar who garnered nearly Rs 2 crores and the move paid off. Despite Mumbai Indians not being able to qualify for the playoffs, it was a great season for Markande.

The leg-spinner made an immediate impact in the tournament by bagging 3 wickets in the opening match against the Chennai Super Kings. He bagged 3 wickets which included the prized scalp of MS Dhoni. He continued his good form and bagged 4 in their very next assignment against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
His performance got down a bit as the tournament progressed. However, you have to accept this fact that is a long tournament and these things are bound to happen. He will now look to come stronger in the upcoming edition.
