Dec 22, 2018 at 4:42 PM
Chennai Super Kings’ stunning win over Mumbai Indians turned a bit sour, as their batsman Kedar Jadhav is doubtful for the next couple of weeks due to an injury. Jadhav suffered the injury while batting in the match.
He was batting on 13 before being taken out of the field. The details of the injury are not out yet, but it looks like a suspected hamstring tear.
Jadhav returned to bat during in the last over of the innings, but his direct participation in the league is in doubt. He admitted he was doubtful for the next couple of weeks.
“Psychologically I’m happy, but physically I’m a bit hurt. Not sure If I’ll be able to play in the next couple of weeks. I saw the first three balls and noticed that Mustafiz isn’t changing his lengths, so went for the shot.,” he said after the game.
Chennai seals a thriller:
Coming to the game, Chennai Super Kings marked their arrival with a stunning win over defending champions Mumbai Indians. Chasing 166, the Super Kings were reeling at 118 for eight in the 17th over.
The game looked as good as over for them before Dwayne Bravo wielded his magic bat.
The Windies all-rounder played a stunning knock of 68 off just 30 balls to put his team on the verge of a win.
However, his dismissal on the last ball of the 19th over, threw the game wide open. With just one wicket in hand and that too of injured Jadhav, Super Kings would have feared for the worst.
But Jadhav put his team in front on him and came out to bat. The nervous then increased when Jadhav played three consecutive dot deliveries before hitting a six and a four to seal the game.
