IPL 2018, Match 10, KKR v SRH, Review: Hyderabad Continue their Winning Run
It was a good all-round performance by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 10th match of IPL 11 to keep their winning record intact in the tournament so far. Some wonderful bowling by the Hyderabad bowlers which restricted the Knight Riders to a score of 138 in their allotted 20 overs. Kane Williamson scored a half-century and ensured that Hyderabad reached the target with an over to spare.
It was some wonderful bowling show by the SRH bowlers who restricted KKR to 138. The Kolkata bowlers were brilliant in the middle overs but failed to carry on the momentum, as Hyderabad romped home with an over to spare. Sunil Narine was the pick of the KKR bowlers bagging 2/17.
It was Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson who won the toss and put the hosts in to bat. The usual pair of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine didn’t walk out in the middle. Instead, it was Uthappa and Lynn who started proceedings.

It was Nitish Rana who joined Lynn in the middle. The southpaw struck some exceptional shots to get going.
On the other hand, Chris Lynn continued his job and kept on putting on the runs. Nitish Rana was dismissed after making 18 off 16 deliveries which included a couple of fours and a six.
It was some splendid bowling performance by the Sunrisers bowlers which helped them keep Kolkata down to a score of 138 in their allotted 20 overs.
It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who returned as the most successful bowler for Hyderabad. He ended up bagging three wickets for just 26 runs. Captain Dinesh Karthik scored 29 off 26 deliveries. Also, Shakib Al Hasan and Billy Stanlake bagged a couple each.
Hyderabad began sensationally with Wriddhiman Saha taking charge of the proceedings. He began with some exceptional shots and eventually got dismissed on 24 off just 15 deliveries which contained five fours.
It was Sunil Narine who provided the maiden breakthrough in the form of Wriddhiman Saha’s wicket. The delivery as angled down the leg side and it was caught safely by Dinesh Karthik behind the stumps.
He also bagged the 2nd wicket when he castled Shikhar Dhawan with a brilliant delivery. The ball turned in sharply and disturbed his timbers.
Some tight bowling by the KKR spinners brought them back into the game. However the start provided was enough to give them a comfortable victory in the end.
Hyderabad won by five wickets an over remaining. Skipper Kane Williamson was the top scorer with 50 off 44 deliveries which were studded with four fours and a solitary six.
