The 29-year-old Kohli, who was appointed as the skipper in 2014 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, had a decent outing in the tenth edition would continue to lead the outfit following his spectacular record.

In 2017 IPL edition, as other struggled to score for Bangalore, Kohli managed to register four fifties in 10 matches which further saw him scoring 308 runs at an average of 30.80.

In 149 matches, Kohli amassed 4,418 runs at an average of 37.44. He smashed four hundreds and 30 fifties which further saw him smashing 382 boundaries and 160 sixes.

The South African batsman AB de Villiers, who has dominated the bowlers with his aggressive brand of cricket, has further become an important across the globe to be picked for the professional Twenty20 competition.
