IPL 2019: 16th Match, Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Match Review; Yet another easy-peasy victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League. They outsmarted Delhi Capitals to bag the crucial two points in their kitty.
Turning Point of the match:
The knock from Jonny Bairstow was the turning point of the match. In a tricky chase, the flamboyant batsman knocked runs at a quick pace to make things fall in place for the team. Apart from Jonny Bairstow’s knock, the captaincy of Bhuvneshwar Kumar was at top-notch.
Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – 2nd Innings
In reply to the chase, Sunrisers Hyderabad got a blistering start in the form of Jonny Bairstow. He continued his glorious form in the middle to hand an edge for the team in the tricky chase.
He smashed it brilliantly to put Sunrisers Hyderabad pretty much in the control of the game. In between, David Warner looked completely in the off colour, as he never got the right timing on the ball.
After a brilliant 48 runs off 28 balls, Jonny Bairstow was dismissed to Rahul Tewatia in a controversial manner. He was quickly followed by David Warner to make scorecard read 68/2.
However. the calm Vijay Shankar alongside Manish Pandey did the job for the team in the middle overs. Just when things looked dull in the middle, Ishant Sharma picked the wicket of Manish Pandey to bring a life into the game.
Then it was Deepak Hooda, who made things look easy in the middle. In between, Axar Patel sent back Vijay Shankar to make things look interesting in the middle. However, Mohammad Nabi and Yusuf Pathan finished things for Sunrisers.

Initially, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who won the toss, elected to bowl first. It turned out to be a nice call, as they outsmarted Delhi batsmen to the perfection. The captain of SRH took the new ball and dismissed dangerous-looking Prithvi Shaw in the third over of the game.
Shikhar Dhawan too failed to make the most of the opportunity and was dismissed by Mohammad Nabi. However, it was the skipper of Shreyas Iyer, who was the lone warrior in the middle. He knocked the ball to all corners to put scorecard tickling a bit.
The number 4 batsman Rishabh Pant once again failed to score for the team. In between, the South African Colin Ingram was dismissed to a stunning catch by Manish Pandey in the backward point region.
Alongside Shreyas Iyer, Chris Morris also tried to up the ante. During the course, the captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar himself makes his way into the game to bowl the 16th over of the game. However, it turned out in the favour of Delhi, as they got the nice momentum.
The brilliant knock of Shreyas Iyer came at an end when Rashid Khan’s googly tricked him. Chris Morris tried his best to whack few deliveries but the skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar did the trick for the team. In the end, it was Axar Patel, who helped Delhi to post 129 runs on the board.
