Kings XI Punjab – Predicted Playing XI:
Finally, KL Rahul comes into his groove for Kings XI Punjab. He has been brilliant against Sunrisers Hyderabad and then smashed a beautiful century against Mumbai Indians. The flamboyant batsman would like to repeat the show.
Chris Gayle also found his touch for the team. He is smoking those sixes for fun and giving quick starts for the team. The team management would hope him to unleash against Rajasthan attack.
Mayank Agarwal’s return after the injury wasn’t that great, as he walked back for a duck. However, he would like to make the most of the opportunity this time at home.
Sarfaraz Khan has been brilliant for the team in this year edition of the tournament. He is smashing the ball as sweetly as it can get and stitching a few crucial partnerships when openers are failing.
David Miller failed to get going in the last match and also dropped for the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Though it is unfair for Pooran, Miller might be back in the team.
Mandeep Singh has got very limited opportunities to showcase his skills in this edition of the IPL. The talented Punjab batsman would be eager to showcase his talent with a promotion. He needs to be wary of Prabhsimran Singh and Karun Nair.
Sam Curran has done a good job for his side in his debut feature in the IPL. The English all-rounder has been excellent with the ball. He would once again be the cynosure of the eyes in the Mumbai game.
Ravichandran Ashwin is coming into his groove for the team. In the last couple of games, he has been pretty brilliant for the team. He would like to repeat the same on the Wankhede track.
Mujeeb ur Rahman:
Mujeeb would be back in the side for the clash against Rajasthan Royals. He got a decent record against them, which would push a place for him. Andrew Tye might sit out.
Ankit Rajpoot has done a fair job since his return into the playing XI. He has quite a variations up his sleeves which he has bowled with perfection. The franchise will want Ankit to provide perfect support to the seniors in powerplay and death overs.
Mohammed Shami has been outstanding so far in the tournament. He is giving those crucial breakthroughs and delivering it decently in the death overs alongside Sam Curran.
Batsman – 8.5/10
Despite having the required firepower in the team, they are lacking a perfect finisher of the game. The middle-order looks little a bit inexperienced while chasing the targets.
Bowling – 8/10
They got the required variety in their bowling attack. The skipper Ashwin and Mohammed Shami have been delivering on a consistent basis but the other bowlers in the ranks are failing to do so.
