Here is Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted Playing XI:
1. Shane Watson:
He proved what he is capable of doing for the team. Watson showed his class on the other night to give it back to Sunrisers Hyderabad, who beat them when MS Dhoni was out of the playing XI.
2. Faf du Plessis:
Perhaps, the time has come for Faf du Plessis to wield his willow. After a couple of games, he hasn’t delivered much for the team, apart from his scintillating fielding at the fence.
3. Suresh Raina:
The flamboyant striker of the ball has faced one of the greatest Yorkers in the game against RCB but played a good knock against SRH. He would like to play a good knock against MI at Cheppauk.
4. Ambati Rayudu:
The number 4 batsman has managed to rotate the strike to Watson when it mattered the most. However, he could have liked himself if stayed till the end to finish the mark.
5. Kedar Jadhav:
The pocket-dynamite is failing on a regular basis in recent times. After his good knocks in the initial phase of the tournament, he failed to show his charisma for the team.
6. MS Dhoni:
Despite coming into the game on the back of an injury, he never showed that on the field. He almost pulled out an unthinkable victory with his great striking. Dhoni was as usual at his best with the gloves against SRH.
7. Ravindra Jadeja:
he left-handed all-rounder is showing his class on a regular basis for the team. Even on the other night, he had a good game against SRH.
8. Dwayne Bravo:
After a fine period of time, Bravo is back in the team. He bowled decent enough in the death but not as threatening as he was earlier. However, he got his favourite opponents for Friday night.
9. Harbhajan Singh:
When it comes to home games, the presence of Harbhajan Singh is a must for the team. He has been brilliant in the home conditions, which would certainly make him Stay in the playing XI.
10. Deepak Chahar:
He has been brilliant for the team with the new ball and also at the death. Deepak has been their consistent performer and would like to repeat the same against Mumbai.
11. Imran Tahir:
Can they afford to go without him in the playing XI? He has been brilliant for the team with his great consistency. Tahir will be the key for MS Dhoni on Friday night.
Batting – 9/10
They have got a blistering batting lineup on their side. CSK have no concerns whatsoever in that region, as they got every slot covered with brilliant players.
Bowling – 9/10
Even bowling looks quite solid for the team. The home conditions will certainly help them with all the top-class spinners in a great form.
