IPL 2019: Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard help Mumbai To 149, Twitter Reacts
May 13, 2019 at 11:24 AM
Well, it seems like yet another final of the tournament is going to be the low-scoring thriller at Hyderabad. However, it can be known after CSK batting but, in between, Chennai Super Kings have displayed top-quality skills in the middle to restrict Mumbai to a low score on the board. Shardul Thakur has been brilliant with the ball alongside spinners.
Getting into the details, it was Rohit Sharma, who won the toss initially and chose to bat first by making one change to the side that won the game against the same side in the qualifier-1. Justifying the toss decision, Quinton de Kock gave a stunning start for the team with his blistering striking.
He took on CSK fast bowlers to the cleaners before being dismissed to Shardul Thakur in the powerplay. He was quickly followed by the dismissal of Rohit Sharma, which made things look bleak for Chennai Super Kings. However, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan balanced things in the middle.
Just when things looked in control for Mumbai, then came the brilliant spell of bowling from Imran Tahir, who dismissed Suryakumar Yadav. His wicket was quickly followed by the dismissal of Krunal Pandya when Shardul took a stunner of the catches in his own bowling.
The vows further stretched for Mumbai Indians when Ishan Kishan to skied off Imran Tahir to Suresh Raina. However, the way Pollard batted in the middle helped Mumbai Indians to get something on the board.
For Chennai Super Kings, Imran Tahir and Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers while the rest of the bowlers delivered economical spells to restrict Mumbai for a paltry score in the middle.
Here are a few tweets:
Chahar is good. But I have no doubt in my mind that he’d be 70% of this under any other captain. Swing Bowlers, like leg spinners, are also ‘captain’s bowlers’. #MIvCSK #IPL

Super smart of Dhoni to bring back Chahar the moment De Kock got out. A lot of captains would be reluctant to go back to a bowler who’s conceded 20 runs a couple of overs back. Still in the power-play overs. #MIvCSK #IPL

Master stroke from Dhoni… getting Chahar back after being hit for 22 off 2. Chahar gets Rohit!
So this is the thing….MI have all boxes ticked, but CSK have Dhoni!🙏#IPLFinal2019— Sanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) May 12, 2019
If a wicket falls now, Mumbai Indians should send in Sanjay Manjrekar next. Let's see him talk then. #IPL2019Final

Krunal Pandya has lots of weakness but he still performs reasonably good with his limited ability. Time has come for him to perform or perish #IPL2019Final #IPLFinal2019

Imagine the outrage if Sir Jadeja mankads Hardik Pandya 🙃 #CSKvMI #IPL2019Final

MS Dhoni is the kind of general who goes to battle and leads from the front, remains calm under pressure and keeps faith in his soldiers. Whatever team you support, you can't deny how great a captain he is.
