Well, it has been a brilliant display of cricketing skills from Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. They completely outsmarted Kolkata Knight Riders to knock them out of the tournament and pull Sunrisers Hyderabad into the mix. It was a collective team effort from the team, which saw them winning.
Getting into the details, initially, it was Rohit Sharma, who won the toss, elected to bowl first. KKR got the blistering start with the help of Chris Lynn knock, who found the fence more often than not. In between, Shubman Gill failed to get them going as he would have liked to have.

Gill’s struggles ended when Hardik Pandya got better off him. He was quickly followed by Chris Lynn, which made things look bleak in the middle for KKR. Then came the worst possible partnership between Robin Uthappa and Dinesh Karthik, which brought Mumbai into the driver seat.
However, the cameo from Nitish Rana helped Kolkata past 100 on the board. He played a brilliant inning in the middle and the odd boundaries from Uthappa kept the team going. However, it was once again Lasith Malinga, who turned things by bagging the wicket of Nitish Rana.

Then the economical over from Jasprit Bumrah further made things look bleak for KKR. In the end, it was Robin Uthappa again, who helped the team to post a decent tally on the board. For Mumbai Indians, Lasith Malinga was the pick of the bowlers, who picked three wickets to his name.
In reply to the chase, the flamboyant pair Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma started things off in a flash before Prasidh Krishna removing de Kock when Dinesh Karthik pulled out a stunner. However, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav finished things off in a style.
Here are a few tweets:
KKR have had an odd season. On paper they are one of the strongest teams in the IPL but without Russell they’d be near the bottom of the table. The absence of Nagarkoti & Mavi – who consume a lot of their purse – has been significant; their bowling has lacked potency. #IPL #KKR

So, first time in the history of the #IPL, a team with 12 points will qualify for the playoffs. Three teams locked on same points. I’m convinced that it’s because of VVS Laxman’s good karma that #SRH will make it 🤗🙈🥳

Uthappa is main culprit for karthik & Russell dismissal. Playing lot of dot balls and creating pressure on other batsmen. #MIvKKR @bhogleharsha

SRH will be the weakest team in the play-offs because these key players won't be playing for them :
1. David Warner
2. Jonny Bairstow
3. Robbie Uthappa#MIvKKR— SanTos ;)) (@San4Tos) May 5, 2019
#KKR deserves not making it to top 4. DK's captaincy is below par:
1. Narine has to open the innings, he is proven jackpot batting early.
2. Kuldeep Yadav can be Match winner, can't bench him for so many matches. #MIvKKR #ipl2019— MJ Imran (@mjimran) May 5, 2019
