Here is Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted Playing XI:
1. Shane Watson:
Although he is in a poor form, CSK would give him one more chance at the top. He is one of those players, who can change the complexion of the game with his brilliant knock on a given day. Surprisingly, he is yet to bowl a single over in the tournament.
2. Faf du Plessis:
He played a stunning knock on the other day at Mohali. Faf du Plessis, who missed century by 4 runs on the other day would love to make things fall in place in the all-important clash at Cheppauk.
3. Suresh Raina:
The flamboyant striker of the ball has faced one of the greatest Yorkers in the game against RCB. Since then, Raina played good knocks for CSK when it matters the most. He would like to play a good knock against MI at Cheppauk.
4. MS Dhoni:
Despite coming into the game on the back of an injury, he never showed that on the field. He almost pulled out an unthinkable victory with his great striking against RCB. Dhoni would be the cynosure of the eyes in Qualifier-1.
5. Ambati Rayudu:
The right-handed batsman Rayudu hasn’t delivered much in the tournament so far. He would like to deliver the goods in the all-important clash, especially, against his old franchise.
6. Dhruv Shorey:
The right-handed batsman Shorey would replace Kedar Jadhav in the playing XI for CSK. This would be a great chance for Shorey to prove his mettle for the team.
7. Ravindra Jadeja:
The left-handed all-rounder is showing his class on a regular basis for the team. Even on the other night, he had a good game against Kings XI Punjab.
8. Dwayne Bravo:
After a fine period of time, Bravo is back in the team. He bowled decent enough in the death but not as threatening as he was earlier. However, he got his favourite opponents for Tuesday night.
9. Harbhajan Singh:
When it comes to home games, the presence of Harbhajan Singh is a must for the team. He has been brilliant in the home conditions, which would certainly make him Stay in the playing XI.
10. Deepak Chahar:
He has been brilliant for the team with the new ball and also at the death. Deepak has been their consistent performer and would like to repeat the same against Mumbai.
11. Imran Tahir:
Can they afford to go without him in the playing XI? He has been brilliant for the team with his great consistency. Tahir will be the key for MS Dhoni to get wickets and stop the run-flow.
Chennai Super Kings’ Predicted Playing XI Ratings:
Batting – 9/10
They got the stunning lineup in their ranks. CSK would certainly be one of the top-class lineups to bowl at. The form of Rayudu and Shane Watson are the worrying signs for the team.
Bowling – 8.5/10
They lost their rhythm in the recent past. However, the spin conditions would suit them very well. Harbhajan Singh and Imran Tahir have been brilliant for the team.
