IPL 2019: Virender Sehwag Lauds Incredible Rishabh Pant

It was quite a night for Rishabh Pant at Wankhede Stadium. The flamboyant batsman displayed his class against Mumbai Indians to put fans on edge of their seats. Meanwhile, the former swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag lauds heroics of Rishabh Pant.

The hard striker of the ball Rishabh Pant smashed a blistering 78-run knock off 27 balls to put a massive tally on the board. In between, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to appreciate the stunning knock.

As it happened:

Initially, it was Rohit Sharma, who won the toss, asked Delhi Capitals to bat first. The start wasn’t that great as the young Mumbai players Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer walked back for cheap scores. However, Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram balanced the ship.

After the end of the fine partnership, then came the assault from Rishabh Pant, who has been sensational at Mumbai. He brought 18-ball fifty to put Mumbai Indians on their toes.

He smashed the best bowlers of Mumbai Indians all over the park with his unorthodox strokes. Pant took all the fast bowlers of Mumbai Indians to the cleaners that include Jasprit Bumrah as well.

During the course, Rishabh Pant smashed the fastest fifty against Mumbai Indians in IPL history when he reached landmark off only 18 balls.

He walked in to bat at No.5 for Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday and took on a strong Mumbai attack only the way he could.

The record for the fastest fifty against Mumbai Indians was held by MS Dhoni. In 2012, Dhoni had scored a fifty off 20 balls against Mumbai. Now, it is again a wicket-keeper, who broke the record.

However, it has been a great day at the office for Rishabh Pant. He carried his scintillating IPL 2018 form into the tournament to make things fall in place for Delhi Capitals.
