Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has got back to practice in the nets. Dhoni was seen warming up in the nets when he swung his bat hard. The talisman was not able to time the first ball, however, he was able to send the second one into the orbit. Thus, Dhoni has declared himself fit for the next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni had missed the previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad due to back spasm. Suresh Raina had led the defending champions in the last match which they went on to lose by six wickets.
Consequently, Chennai Super Kings had gone on to miss their leader. However, the reigning champions sit pretty at the zenith of the points table with seven wins in the nine matches they have played. Thus, they have put one foot in the door of the playoff stages.
On the other hand, MS Dhoni has been his team’s best batsman thus far. The talisman has scored 230 runs in the six innings as he has played at a staggering average of 76.67. Furthermore, Dhoni has scored his runs at a strike rate of 127.07.
Dhoni has scored two fifties in the ongoing edition of the IPL with the best score of 75 runs, which he had scored against Rajasthan Royals.
CSK will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore, who had won their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings had begun their IPL campaign against RCB and had convincingly beaten them by seven wickets. Consequently, they would like to repeat their previous performance.
CSK has almost assured their playoff stages berth whereas RCB will need to win everything to keep their hopes alive. RCB is at the bottom of the points table with only two wins in nine matches.
