Fortunes have turned for Kings XI Punjab, who were languishing at the bottom in the points table in the first half but are now standing at the number four position. The victories have generated a self-belief in the KXIP camp, but they are still to lock a spot in the playoffs. The clash against Rajasthan is important for them to win to grab two points because Kolkata Knight Riders are standing just behind them to take over them in the points table.
Here, let’s take a look at Kings XI Punjab predicted playing XI against RR:
KL Rahul (c & wk):
Although he would have been happy with his team registering back to back victories, KL Rahul has been disappointing with the bat. Being under pressure, he has not plotted his inning freely and hence, registering a low strike rate.
He will want to play a big knock against RR.
Mayank Agarwal missed action in the last two matches because he was injured during the match against Delhi Capitals. While the injury is not serious, he is likely to join the team against RR. He is currently one of the leading scorer in the IPL 2020, scoring 398 runs in 10 matches at an average and strike rate of 39.80 and 155.46 respectively.
Chris Gayle has brought the luck back for Kings XI Punjab. In the last five matches he played, KXIP managed to register victories in all those matches and their chances to qualify for playoffs are still alive.
He has scored 177 runs in five matches at the strike rate of 138.28.
After KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, Nicholas Pooran has been the regular scorer for KXIP. He has amassed 329 runs in 12 matches at the strike rate of 171.35. He can be the match-winner for them against RR, who are also eyeing to qualify for the playoffs.
Glenn Maxwell’s poor form is hurting Kings XI Punjab who are striving to enter the playoffs. Against Delhi Capitals, he got runs with the bat but was struggling. Maxwell will try to get runs against RR.
Deepak Hooda was out for a duck against SRH, but before that match, he took the team to victory. But he is a huge responsibility to finish the job for Kings XI Punjab.
The fast-bowling allrounder Chris Jordan was outstanding against SRH. Adjudged Man of the Match for his performance, he snared three wickets while gave away only 17 runs in his four overs quota. His death over bowling was spectacular and helped the team to register the victory. He is surely going to play a crucial role for Kings XI Punjab against RR.

The young speedster was the star performer for Kings XI Punjab against SRH. In his last over which was also the last over of the game, he picked up back to back two wickets while also got one run-out and defended 13 runs. It was an unbelievable performance from Arshdeep Singh. He is the pivotal player for KXIP.
