A huge boost for Rajasthan Royals as star England all-rounder Ben Stokes is finally headed to UAE to join with his RR squad for the rest of the IPL. The RR team have been struggling with their middle-order woes, which would finally be not an issue with Stokes’ addition to the team. Ben Stokes was back home in New Zealand to see his ailing father who is battling brain cancer. Stokes left the England Test series against Pakistan midway, as he headed back home.
The star all-rounder has played 34 IPL matches so far and scored 635 runs at an average of 22.67. He also has 26 wickets to his name in the IPL.
Ben Stokes finally set to join RR for IPL 2020
Stokes has left New Zealand today for UAE. He took to Instagram to post pictures with his family at the airport, captioning it as ‘Goodbye’s never get easier’.
Ben Stokes had been working on his return by training at Sydenham Cricket Club, which is the first cricket club he played at back in New Zealand. Stokes will directly go into a seven-day quarantine on reaching the UAE. After that, he would begin his training with the RR squad and will aim to play for them in their match against Delhi Capitals on October 14th.

The Royals had a thunderous start to the IPL 2020, winning both their opening matches, scoring in the excess of 200 runs.
