Australian middle-order Marnus Labuschagne said that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is his favourite IPL team–and picked the Australian team as the favourite to win the 2023 ODI World Cup in India later this year.

Labuschagne, who was engaged in a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter, spoke about his favourite bowler, his favourite IPL team–and the players from the last decade who he would wish to face, and many more things.

The Australian batter picked Ravichandran Ashwin as the toughest spinner to face and also wished to play with Virat Kohli, so that, he can run many twos as both batters are known for their sprint between the wickets.

 

The  Australian batter also wished to play alongside legendary Jacques Kallis and picked Dale Steyn, Shaun Pollack, and Glenn McGrath from the past generation.

Labuschagne also picked Suryakumar Yadav over Mohammad Rizwan in the T20 format–and cheekily replied Indore was his favourite pitch in India. When asked about his favourite IPL team, he quickly responded “RCB”.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be looking to end their long wait for their maiden IPL trophy in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB will open their campaign in IPL 2023 on April 2 when they will lock horns against Mumbai Indians.

When asked about the biggest challenge as a cricketer the right-handed batter tweeted: “The mental challenge of continuing to perform and playing a game where you fail more than you succeed.”

Marnus Labuschagne had a moderate series with the bat in BGT 2023. With him lauding Rohit Sharma’s batting, many fans expect the Indian skipper to do well for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023.
