Chasing a mediocre total of 116, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) won by 7 wickets in the 14 th over with 37 deliveries to spare against Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Mohali, Punjab, on Super Sunday in the second-last match of league phase.
For KXIP, Manan Vohra was a joint top-scorer with 47 runs, while David Miller too scored a 47 not out to help Punjab reach home with .
For DD, Imran Tahir, Mohammad Shami, and Jaydev Undakat picked up a wicket each.
Having being invited to bat first for the last time this season, Delhi Daredevils’ batsmen disappointed once again as they were bundled out for a paltry score of 115 against Kings XI.
For DD, captain Kevin Pietersen top scored with 58 runs, while next highest was Dinesh karthik with a meare 13, as the rest of the team collapsed which saw Delhi all-out for 115.
For KXIP, Awana, Akshar Patel, Karanveer Singh, and Mitchell Johnson picked up 2 wickets each, while Rishi Dhawan chipped in with one wicket. The other wicket to fall was a run-out, The unfortunate batsman was Manoj Tiwary.

Earlier, Kings XI Punjab skipper George Bailey won the toss and decided to chase in the penultimate match of the league phase this IPL season. Bailey explained that the pitch was drier at one end and had some grass cover at the other. So he was unsure of how the pitch will behave. 
Meanwhile, Delhi captain Kevin Pietersen said he would have batted first anyway. Coming in to this match, Delhi Daredevils have lost their previous eight matches, and will be joint second for the worst losing streak in the IPL if they register their 9th loss.
On to the team news now where Kings XI Punjab, who are already assured of a top finish in the table, brought back Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson and Parvinder Awana. The players who went out are Shaun MarshBeuran Hendricks and L Balaji respectively.

Delhi Daredevils, on the other hand, brought back Jimmy Neesham, Mayank Agarwal and Mohammed Shami, as Wayne ParnellMurli Vijay and Siddarth Kaul went out of the playing XI.
