IPL 7: SRH score 157/3 against MI

Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a decent score of against Mumbai Indians in their 20 allotted overs at Uppal, Hyderabad on Monday.

For SRH, Aaron Finch top scored with a brilliant 68, while David Warner chipped in with a 55 thanks to some late hitting by the Australian.

For MI, Lasith Malinga was the most successful bowler returning with figures of 2/35 in his four overs.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper won the toss and chose to bat in their first match of the season at their home ground Uppal, Hyderabad. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, said he would have anyways chosen to field first. Dhawan said scoring around 160 would be a par on what looked like a fine batting pitch.

On to the team news now where Sunrisers remain unchanged from their previous match, while Mumbai Indians replaced Praveen Kumar with left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha who will play for Hyderabad in Ranji cricket. Praveen Kumar’s omission was a bit surprising, especially, considering that he took 2 for 31 against Chennai Super Kings in previous match just two nights ago in Mumbai.
