IPL 2018: 36th Match, SRH vs DD – Sunrisers Hyderabad Predicted XI
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will look to continue their winning run when they will take on rejuvenated Delhi Daredevils at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Saturday (May 5).
The table-toppers will look to extend their lead at the top and inch closer to playoffs in the ongoing eleventh edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, Hyderabad will be worried about their top-order, who eventually failed to contribute in most of the games. Although the middle-order lineup came good only in patches.
Hyderabad’s bowling has been of top notch and by far the best in the tournament.
Hyderabad will now have the problem of plenty with Bhuvneshwar recovering from his injury. The fast bowlers have grabbed the opportunities and it will be interesting to see who the management opts out for.
Here is the predicted XI of Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Shikhar Dhawan is the key factor in the Sunrisers’ batting unit. He will have to come good in the top-order if Hyderabad would want to score big.
Meanwhile. Dhawan hasn’t scored in the last few games and will be raring to go following the injury scare.
The England batsman has shown some early form getting his opportunities in the latter half of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Alex Hales is capable of playing the long handle and destroy any bowling attack.
SRH will want a superlative effort from him, who recently dumped Test cricket to concentrate on the limited-overs format.
Kane Williamson (c):
Kane Williamson has led the team from the front so far in the tournament. He has scored runs in almost all the games and will look to continue doing so.
His form with the bat will be crucial for SRH’s success.
Wriddhiman Saha (wk):
Wriddhiman Saha, the wicketkeeper-batsman is yet to come good with the bat in this tournament. However, he has been absolutely brilliant behind the stump.
He needs to score some quick and put some runs under his belt.
Manish Pandey had a very average tournament so far, although, he has come good in bits and pieces. He needs to take the onus on himself and do the job in the middle-overs.
The Sunrisers set up will badly want Pandey to score some runs as they struggled because of their batting.
Yusuf Pathan showed some hint of form in the last few games while eventually playing a responsible knock. He chipped in with important runs as Hyderabad defended low totals in the last few games.
Yusuf’s form will boost the Sunrisers team management as he has the capability to damage any bowling attack.
Shakib Al Hasan:
Shakib Al Hasan has shown good form with the ball throughout the tournament.
However, his return to form with the bat will benefit the SRH camp as they have lacked runs.
Shakib’s all-round form will be a huge bonus for the Hyderabad squad.
The leg-spinner has been stunning in the last few games for his side. Rashid Khan was accurate with his line and length and led the bowling attack in a spectacular fashion.
Rashid will have to continue his good form if the Sunrisers want to continue the winning spree.
Sandeep Sharma has been brilliant in the limited opportunities he has got so far in this season. He has been accurate and has swung the ball brilliantly.
He will have to make early breakthroughs if SRH wants to restrict the opposition to a modest total.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will look to hit the form straight after coming back from injury. He has led Hyderabad’s bowling attack over the years and will continue doing so.
Bhuvneshwar will be crucial to Hyderabad’s success.
Siddarth Kaul has been brilliant for the Sunrisers Hyderabad side. He has grown in stature and has done the job remarkably well.
Meanwhile, he has to put his A game out in the next outing to continue their winning run.
