Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell has already played for Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) in 2012, Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2013, KXIP in between 2014 and 2017 and once again for Delhi in 2018. He was unavailable for IPL 2019 due to the preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
In the IPL 2020 auction, after winning the bidding war against Delhi Capitals, KXIP bought the player for 10.75 crores. He became the second-most expensive buy in the auction.
Maxwell has played 69 IPL matches where he has scored 1,397 runs (average 22.90 and strike-rate 161.13) and taken 16 wickets. He was the Most Valuable Player in IPL 2014 when his team KXIP finished as the runners-up.
Thus, his return to the squad will strengthen the franchise’s game.
