IPL 2018: 47th Match, MI vs RR – Mumbai Indians Predicted XI

Mumbai Indians (MI) will square off against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a do-or-die encounter at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on May 13 (Sunday) as the losing team will get knocked out eventually for the playoffs berth.

Meanwhile, both the team’s are coming back from a win and will look to keep their winning momentum going.

Mumbai, who were struggling with their opening-order has finally found some form in the last game. Evin Lewis scored some valuable runs in the last game which will boost the Mumbai camp.

Moreover, Mumbai will be banking on the form of wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya to take them over the rope.

The bowlers have also done a good job and the camp will look to field the winning team against the Royals.

Here is the predicted XI of Mumbai Indians:

Suryakumar Yadav:

The right-handed batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been a revelation since he got to open the innings for the reigning champions. He has scored consistently for Mumbai and has provided Mumbai with good starts.

Suryakumar’s job will look to continue doing the job he is doing.

Evin Lewis:

The swashbuckling Windies opener has mostly struggled in this edition, however, he showed some hint of form in the last game.

It will be a huge boost for Indians if Evin Lewis can provide them a good start.

Ishan Kishan (wk):

The young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has done his job for his team. He has some runs under his belt and will continue the same for his franchise.

However, this is a learning curve for the young Kishan and he will bank on his experience going forward.

JP Duminy:

The veteran South African all-rounder Jean-Paul has got chances in the latter half of the tournament. ‘

Although, he hasn’t set the stage on fire, but is surely capable of doing so.

Mumbai will want a superlative effort from Duminy against Rajasthan.

Rohit Sharma (c):

Rohit Sharma on his day can win matches single-handedly and that has been the case so far in this league. He must score runs in this important clash against Rajasthan and lead his team from the front.

Hardik Pandya:

After struggling in the first few games, Hardik Pandya has fought back to form contributing with both bat and ball.

Hardik will look to continue his superlative form as keep Mumbai’s hopes alive.

Krunal Pandya:

The senior of the Pandya brother’s has been the star performer with both bat and ball.

Krunal Pandya has chipped in with runs when needed and has also claimed wickets in crunch situations of the game.

Meanwhile, he will have to continue doing so for Mumbai if they have to give themselves any chance for the playoff berth.

Ben Cutting:

After struggling in the first few games, Ben Cutting has found his form which will boost the Mumbai set up.

A genuine all-rounder, Cutting will look to contribute to Mumbai’s success.

Mitchell McClenaghan:

The speedster from New Zealand Mitchell McClenaghan has done well so far for Mumbai.

Coming in as a replacement, McClenaghan has bowled quick and picked wickets for his franchise.

He needs to continue his role and pick wickets in this do-or-die clash.

Mayank Markande:

The young leg-spinner Mayank Markande has been a revelation for the Indians.  He is among the top wicket-takers and will look to continue his job.

The side will bank on him to contain runs in the middle-overs.

Jasprit Bumrah:

After quite a few dull performances, Jasprit Bumrah stood up to the occasion in the last game. He was economical bowling his variations right.

Bumrah will have to continue his efforts if Mumbai Indians want to give them a chance of qualification.
