Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan visited Punjab to take part in the inaugural ceremony of a private cricket academy. Speaking to the reporters after the event, Pathan admitted that this academy to nurture talents who can contribute to the Indian team.
“The main motive to open this academy is to bring out more such talented players who can contribute to the Indian cricket team, like former players. With the advanced coaching skills, the coach will polish the raw talent across the state and offer them impeccable infrastructure, and carefully watch their performance,” Pathan said.
“I am also trying my best to come back to the Indian cricket team. My message for the city’s youth is that they should give the same importance to sports,” he added.
