It wasn’t a great day at the office for Indian National Cricket Team on the other day at Delhi. In fact, the last three games haven’t been that good for the team against Australia in the 5-match ODI series. They suffered hat trick of defeats to concede a series victory for Australia. Meanwhile, the fast bowler Irfan Pathan expressed his concern on the current Indian setup.
The Indian National Cricket Team won the first couple of game at Hyderabad and Nagpur. However, Australia pulled their socks up in the next couple of games to push the series to a decider at Delhi. When it all boiled down to one good game, they delivered the goods and sealed the series.
Hopefully, the loss won’t affect confidence: Irfan Pathan
Speaking of the series loss, the Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan wants India to not let their confidences down by looking too much into the series loss against Australia. However, he expressed his major concern by asking the Indian team management to sort of the middle order vows ahead of ICC World Cup 2019.
Digging into his tweet, it read ”Hopefully this loss won’t effect the confidence of the Indian team and by the time World Cup arrives team would have sorted middle order positions. Well done Australia for winning the series.”

Ambati Rayudu, Vijay Shankar are the options:
India tried various players for the number 4 slot in the recent past. After heavy research, they came to the conclusion that Ambati Rayudu is going to do the job for India in the ICC World Cup 2019. But, a couple of series completely changed the trust in him.
He is failing to make the most of the opportunities thus making things difficult for him. Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar is showing his calibre more often than not for the team thus creating headaches to the selection committee and the Indian team management.
However, as Irfan Pathan hoped, India should not look much into the series against Australia. It would be interesting to see who the Indian team approaches to do the job at number 4 for the team.
