Just a day ahead of the start of Duleep Trophy, there was a lot of confusion in both the teams camp as close to near ten players didn’t arrive for the first game of the tournament.

The next player on the list is Ishant Sharma. He is in England for his county stint and has withdrawn from the Pink ball tournament. The likes of Shreyas Iyer and Vijay Shankar are still recovering from injuries which they suffered during India A tour of South Africa, and thus, they have also withdrawn from the tournament.
As reported earlier, Parvez Rasool is also not available for the game. Dhawal Kulkarni and Mukund had already been ruled out, and the board had called in Prithvi Shaw and Varun Aaron to replace them. But there is one more addition to the injury list.
Ambati Rayudu, who has switched his base to Hyderabad for the upcoming season, has also been ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury. In the latest news regarding the competition, the Board has called in Chattisgarh’s Pankaj Rao. They have also transferred Sidharth Kaul from India Green to India Red to fill in the devoid.
The first game of the Duleep Trophy will be played on September 7 between India Green and India Red. The Match will not be televised.
