The legendary cricketer Jacques Kallis and his wife Charlene Engels were blessed with a baby boy on March 11 (Wednesday). Following the good news, former South African cricketer took to social media, to inform his fans. Thus, he has written a beautiful post on the child’s birth.
Taking to Twitter, the 44-year-old has welcomed the first child of his family. He shared a beautiful picture of his family and announced that he has become a proud father of Joshua Henry Kallis – the name of the newborn on Wednesday.

In January 2019, Kallis tied the knot to his long time girlfriend Charlene Engels. His wife first revealed the news of her pregnancy on Jacques’ forty-fourth birthday i.e, on 16th October.
Talking about the veteran’s contribution to the game, Kallis has been prolific worldwide. He is counted as one of the best allrounders of the cricket world. He retired from international cricket in 2014 though he continued to be the part of franchise leagues. He has played for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League and Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean Premier League. He is now serving as the batting consultant of the South Africa national cricket team.
For South Africa, he has played 166 Tests, 328 ODIs and 25 T20Is. In Tests, he has scored 13289 and picked 292 wickets while in ODIs, he has scored 11579 runs and snared 273 wickets.
Well, the Proteas team is yet to find the perfect replacement for Kallis.
