Jemimah Rodrigues Shares Heartfelt Message And Video With Fans

India had to return home without the trophy as they faced defeat in the grand finale against Australia in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020. The defeat would have surely hurt the player. The youngster Jemimah Rodrigues shared a heartfelt message on social media, where she thanked the fans for their support.

The 19-year-old became a social media sensation during the event. She kept sharing entertaining videos on her official social media platforms. Her posts were loved by cricket fans.

Taking to Twitter, Jemimah expressed her feelings about losing the final with the fans. She also shared an inside video of a dressing room where the women cricketers are seen cheering with the fans.

“So many things to take back from this tournament, but one thing I’ll cherish is that every time we went out on the field, we knew that we weren’t alone, but backed by the strength of India with us. The result didn’t pan out as we intended it to, but we learn from defeat & I promise we’ll get back stronger to make our nation proud,” she wrote.

“And lastly, a BIG thank you to the 86,174 who came for the Finals. Even though We didn’t win that night, Women’s Cricket definitely won. Here’s a lil video of the dressing room cheering along with you guys,” Jemimah wrote in the Tweet along with the video.

India’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana also reposted Jemimah’s video on her Instagram account.

Team India had an off day in the final of that tournament as the bowlers leaked too many runs which led Australia to set up a target of 185 runs. On the other hand, Indian batters were also unsuccessful in setting up themselves in front of Australia’s strong bowling line up as India lost the final by 85 runs.
