The New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham has always shown the interest to be part of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Seeing his performance this year, the franchise would like to buy the allrounder in the upcoming auction for the 13th edition of IPL. He played in the cash-rich league only in 2014 and is eager to be the part of the IPL 2020 edition.
Neesham, who is famous for his tweets, has pointed out that the IPL auction is unpredictable but has further shown his interest to be part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). A twitter user has also pointed out that SRH, captained by Kane Williamson, might get him in the auction. Jimmy Neesham answered the user with a funny GIF.
“Kane is the captain of Hyderabad. And, they don’t have a middle-order LH batsman who can hit sixes. So…” A Twitter user said.

Jimmy Neesham’s IPL Career
He made the IPL debut in 2014 for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) where he got the chance to play four matches. Neesham picked only one wicket and scored 42 runs. Seeing his poor performance, the Delhi franchise dropped him from the team. In the following year, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but missed out the entire tournament due to injury and was dropped next year. Since then he has remained unsold in the IPL auctions.
The hard-hitting batsman and a death bowler, Jimmy Neesham can give a match-winning performance in the T20 League. The franchise can eye the player in the auction after seeing his performances in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
In the CWC 2019, the left-handed batsman was the third-highest run-scorer for New Zealand with 232 runs in 10 matches. Also, he picked 15 wickets in that mega tournament. So, he can prove to be a beneficial player in the upcoming edition.
