Former West Indian player, Kirk Edwards, has recently shed light on how emotional a moment was Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell game not only for the Indian players and fans but for the West Indians as well. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar retired as the greatest-ever cricketer in the history of the sport back in 2013.
Tendulkar announced his retirement from ODIs in December 2012. He retired from T20Is in October 2013 and subsequently retired from all forms of the game on 16 November 2013, after playing his 200th Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium. His final game was the ending of a fairytale in the books of cricket.
It was an emotional day for Indian cricket lovers and now Kirk Edwards has revealed his outburst of emotions when the little master took to the field for the one last time.

“For the 200th Test match, I was there. It was very emotional for me as well. I had my shades on. I was next to Gayle as well,” Edwards said.
“Both of us were sniffing (tearing up). We tried to not let waterfall out of our eyes. It was a very touching moment. Knowing that you’re never gonna see this guy in the park again playing cricket,” Edwards told Crictracker.

His dominance and charisma had the power to hold the entire nation when he walked into bat. Therefore, there can be no other Sachin Tendulkar in world cricket.
