As the coronavirus is spreading rapidly all around the world, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) co-owner Preity Zinta has requested everyone to take all the safety measures, to combat the infectious virus.

Till Friday evening (20th March), the deadly Virus claimed around 10,400 lives and infected more than, 2,20000 peoples globally while India has reported more than 200 cases. Unfortunately, more and more cases are being reported daily. Thus, the virus has forced authorities to lockdown cities apart from imposing curfew in many regions.

Preity Zinta advises to be a responsible citizen at this tough time:

The Bollywood actress Preity also urged to wash hands and maintain hygiene. She started the video saying people are not happy with the forced holidays but it is a time to be responsible citizens and stay at home

“Please stay inside your house and wash your hands repeatedly. Secondly, don’t go outside because it is very infectious and it will affect a lot in the next 2 weeks when we will get to know about the cases that have come to India and the ones that have been detected.”

It is important that you stay at home, do not spread the virus, because our healthcare system will get overwhelmed with this. There are ventilators, emergency rooms in hospitals, they are for trauma patients, for long-term patients that have disease and issues. Don’t spread the virus, spread love, stay at home.”

To curb the mass gathering, BCCI had suspended IPL to mid-April. However, seeing the current situation, the 13th edition might get cancelled.
