After registering a remarkable win in the second super over against Mumbai Indians (MI), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) allrounder Chris Jordan expressed that his sides team spirit and camaraderie has been second to none in the IPL 2020.

Kings XI Punjab has jumped to the sixth position in the points table after winning their third match on Sunday. Their chances to qualify for playoffs are still alive if they win the next scheduled five matches.

Chris Jordan, while addressing the media, said that they deserved to win the matches that they, unfortunately, lost my mere margins earlier in the tournament. However, he stated that the team spirit didn’t go down.

“I feel like the way we have played a lot of our games this season, they could have been very easily ended with us on the winning side. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I think from the last two games, the kind of team spirit and camaraderie we have shown as an entire team and entire franchise has been second to none,” Jordan said during the post-match press conference.

Chris Jordan further heaped praise on KXIP captain KL Rahul for leading the team from the front. He also lauded Mayank Agarwal’s effort to give a good start to the team. The fast bowling allrounder said that Chris Gayle’s impact on the team has also been great.

“KL has been leading from the front and obviously, Mayank did not come off today but both of them have been giving us tremendous start at the top. It has not been reckless cricket, it has been controlled shots and good running between the wicket,” Chris Jordan maintained.

“You can see the impact the legend himself, Gayle, made in the last two games. It is great to have, what I considered to be a great of the game, in our team. His energy is unbelievable.”

Chasing 177 runs target set up by Mumbai Indians, KL Rahul scored 77 runs, but it could not be enough to close the game in twenty overs. As the match ended in a tie, the match went on to super over. KXIP could only score five runs in that over as Jasprit Bumrah produced a magical spell.

However, Mohammed Shami took the game to a second super over after he restricted Mumbai Indians to chase down the target.

In the second super over, KXIP Chris Jordan was given to bowl, and he conceded 11 runs. And at last, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle seal the win for Punjab to bring them back in the league.
