Sri Lanka vs India 2017: Watch – Virat Kohli’s Intense Workout
Team India might have won the five-match series against Sri Lanka 3-0 with two matches still left, but that has not stopped the ever-dedicated Virat Kohli from working hard.
A player who has not only taken his game to a different level in the last few years but has also transformed his body into a chiselled and athletic one after arriving at the international stage with a chubby face, the India captain has become a role-model for many with his hard-work and dedication.
Earlier this year, Rajkumar Sharma, Kohli’s childhood coach, had revealed how the Indian batting star gave up butter chicken and rolls to set a ‘benchmark as captain’.
“Kohli once told me, if I don’t set the benchmark as captain, who else will? Even as the world looks on in wonder, I know the boy behind the man. He used to gorge on butter chicken, rolls and all sorts of fast food. But today, it finds no place in his diet,” Sharma had told Cricket Next.
“In fact, he is so particular about his diet, that even when he comes over to my place, he won’t have packaged fruit juices. You either give him fresh juice or you don’t. Carbohydrates are a strict no-no and there are no off days in his routine anymore,” he had added.
Kohli has been truly setting the benchmarks with his exceptional fitness and has now posted a video which shows how hard he works behind the scene to become an exemplary leader.
The 28-year old took to Twitter to post a video of himself doing the knee raises with the caption: “Never stop working hard. ?Make everyday count! ?✌”

Meanwhile, Kohli will be looking to score big in the remaining two games to cap off an excellent series for the visitors. The batting star kick started the ODI series with an 82-run (not out) knock but failed to replicate his performances in the following two games.
India managed to win both the ODI to seal the series, but Kohli could score only four and three in those matches. The fourth game of the series will be played in Colombo on Thursday (August 31).
