Matthew Hayden Wishes Happy Birthday to Former CSK Team Mate Suresh Raina

One of the most destructive opening batsmen, Matthew Hayden brought nightmares for the bowlers and especially the Indian bowlers. His performances against the Indian team were always something the Indian fans never relished. He averaged over 50 in both Tests and ODI’s against the India side. He was one of the major contributors to the Australian team during their dominance over world cricket during the first decade of the 21st century.
His on-field attitude and tactics had always kept the opposition team at bay. However, he earned respect and love of the Indian fans during the IPL when he played for Chennai Super Kings. Not just he made a lot of fans but also made many friends during the tenure as a player for CSK. His bond with MS Dhoni is something which is very rare to see between an Aussie and an Indian player. His friendship with Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and players from other countries has brought out a different image of the destructive left-handed batsman.

Another proof of this was when on Monday, Hayden wished Suresh Raina a very Happy Birthday on Twitter. He wrote, “Happy Birthday my little brother. Hope this year brings you peace, happiness and success beyond your wildest expectations #GodBless @ImRaina”
