Former SunRisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody has revealed that the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians had two years ago proposed a trade for the star leg-spinner Rashid Khan. The Aghan player is the best T20 bowler, and SRH thinking of giving away was a no chance but MI had the courage to ask of his trade. And this act impressed Tom Moody.
Speaking during an interaction on the ESPNCricinfo show T20 Time Out LIVE, Tom Moody shared the anecdote about current IPL champions Mumbai Indians. He stated that no team had ever come forward for the proposal, but it was a clear indication of how the Mumbai Indians go all-out to be the best.
“I remember an incident from maybe two years ago when they (Mumbai Indians) asked for a trade for Rashid Khan. They are the only franchise who have had the gumption or the bravado to knock on the door and ask for a trade for Rashid,” admitted Tom Moody in praise of Mumbai Indians’ attitude.
Tom Moody on MI camp:

Moody, who was with SRH set up until 2019, said that the other franchise lacks confidence and perseverance when it comes to trading.
“Other franchises don’t do it (trading) with the same confidence and perseverance or with the whole management structure behind their team philosophy. A lot of teams run a lot leaner than what Mumbai Indians do. The support staff at SRH is actually half of what MI’s is,” he further revealed.
Mumbai Indians only the second IPL team to defend the title:
After Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians have become only the second team to defend the IPL title. In the grand finale of the IPL 2020, Rohit Sharma led side comfortably registered a victory against Delhi Capitals after chasing 156 runs target. Trent Bout was adjudged with the Man of the Match in the marquee clash for his outstanding bowling, picking three wickets in his four overs.
