Pakistan’s veteran cricketer Mohammad Hafeez had to go under the COVID-19 test because he had met an old lady outside the bio-secure bubble. Fortunately, the results of the test have come out as negative and he is permitted to join the team for practice sessions.
On Wednesday, Mohammad Hafeez, on his official Twitter account, posted a picture with an old lady whom he met in the golf course adjacent to the team hotel. He termed the lady as inspirational because at the age of 90 she was connected with the sport. However, that post backfired him.
The Pakistani player got under scrutiny because he breached the bio-secure bubble which mentions that the player should not meet any outsider to curb the spread of the virus.
Here is the post:

Mohammad Hafeez only self-isolated for two days:
It was stated that Hafeez would have to go under five-day self-isolation as Jofra Archer did after doing a similar mistake. However, the Pakistani player went into self-isolation for less than 48 hours and has joined the squad after testing negative once.
On the other hand, When Jofra Archer had gone his home for one hour amid the series, he was self-isolated at the Old Trafford’s on-site hotel. He went under two COVID-19 tests during that course. Additionally, he was also fined for an undisclosed amount and was given a written warning.
Alternatively, Mohammad Hafeez has not been given any such harsh treatment. He will feature in the three-match T20I series starting from 28th August.
Notably, before touring England, Mohmmad Hafeez had got his name in headlines. He had first tested positive of the virus in the tests conducted by PCB. But the next day, it was stated that Hafeez has cleared the test after he privately got himself tested. The whole incident had made a mockery of PCB on social media.
