Mohammed Shami Had An Incredible IPL 2022 For New Entrant Champions Gujarat Titans
Mohammed Shami had an incredible outing in the IPL 2022 for Gujarat Titans as the Ahmedabad-based outfit lifted the trophy in their maiden campaign. Since then, many former players of the cricket fraternity came out in support of the 32-year-old’s inclusion into the T20I setup for India. The right-arm pacer was excluded from the Asia Cup 2022 squad, which didn’t sit well with many fans and critics.
Mohammed Shami has picked 18 scalps in 17 T20Is with the last outing coming in the 2021 T20I World Cup against Namibia. Notably, the veteran Bengal pacer was the leading wicket-taker for Gujarat Titans (GT) in their title-winning campaign earlier this year. He bagged 20 wickets from 16 games and had a decent economy rate of 8.00 in the latest edition of the cash-rich league.

The first T20I between India and Australia is scheduled to take place at PCA Stadium in Mohali on Tuesday, September 20.
