The inaugural edition of ICC World Test Championship is underway and the teams are fighting for the top two positions in the table. India is on the top of the points table with 120 points and second and third place go for New Zealand and Sri Lanka with 60 points each. Meanwhile, former England cricketer Monty Panesar predict that Australia might win the inaugural Test Championship.
Australia is in fourth place with 56 points after the two matches win in the ongoing Ashes. England is still in the race but it will be important for them to win the last match of Ashes 2019 to retain their position. Panesar opined that the Australian team is in form and their strategy can give them the trophy of the Championship.

“Australia looks to be the favourites. The way they are playing and dominating, I am sure they will win the championship.”
Steve Smith Can not join the league of greats: Monty Panesar
Steve Smith is the highest scorer of the Ashes 2019 till now with 671 runs in five innings. He could have scored more but he missed the 3rd Test match because of concussion. He can also break the record of the legendary Sir Don Bradman.
All the players are praising Steve Smith and compare him with legends. But Panesar is of the view that Smith’s past evil-doing should not be forgotten and because of which he can never become great.
“Australia batsman Steve Smith should not be compared with any cricketing great after his involvement in the sandpaper gate. It doesn’t matter how many runs Smith will score, he will never be in the league of greats,” he further added.
Monty Panesar is the bowler who has played 50 Test matches with 167 wickets and 26 ODIs with 24 wickets. He has played 219 First-Class matches and picked 709 wickets. His best performance was in the 2006-2007 Ashes where he took 10 wickets in three Test matches though England lost the series.
