ICC Champions Trophy 2013 was the seventh edition of the tournament. India registered the victory in this tournament under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The Men in Blue were second time entitled the winners of this tournament as they first time lifted the trophy in 2002 under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly.

India faced the host England in the grand finale of the tournament. In the rain-curtailed match, India was all out for 129 runs as the match was reduced to 20 overs per side. England were favourites to win but Ishant Sharma’s masterstroke at right time led India to lift the trophy.

During the tournament, several records were built by batsmen and bowlers. Here, in this article, we have named the five batsmen who have struck the most number of sixes in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013.

Ravi Bopara was the consistent performer for England with both bat and ball. He made the debut in 2002 and become the crucial player for his team across all the formats. In the Champions Trophy 2013, he played eye-catching knocks, but could not help England beat India in the final. Throughout the series, Bopara was used to finish off the innings by accelerating towards the end.

He scored 118 runs in five matches at an average of 59.00 with the striking rate of 137.20. His struck highest number of sixes, registering six sixes and six fours in the tournament.

2. David Miller:

South African cricketer David Miller is the power-hitter in the middle order. When he is on the song, he shows no mercy against the opposition to the bowler. He likes to hit the ball out of the park which is why he is the second-highest batsman to score the most number of sixes in the Champions Trophy 2013.

The southpaw scored 114 runs in four matches and struck five maximums and eight fours in the tournament. In the semifinal against England, he along with Rory Kleinveldt set the record for the highest 9th wicket partnership in ICC Champions Trophy history, with 95. However, he could not take the team to the finishing line and Proteas lost the marquee clash.
