MS Dhoni thee limited over’s captain of the Indian said that focus will be on the upcoming India tour of Australia and will think about retirement at the right time.
Before leaving Australia Dhoni was questioned about retirement and he replied that “I am a person who lives in the present and the focus right now is the Australian tour leading up to the World T20 Championships. I will think about it at the right time,” he said.
Dhoni’s form with the bat has not been great since the last 1 year. He needs rediscover his form on the upcoming tour of Australia. His captaincy has also dipped since last year. After the World Cup 2015 there were doubts about his retirement but he continued as a captain against Bangaldesh and South Africa. Under his captaincy he lost against Bangladesh 1-2 and against South Africa 2-3.
MS Dhoni ability as a finisher has come down. He does not hit the ball straight away and takes singles.
The batting position has been question. He bats at number 4 and sometimes at number 6 which does not give him a chance to bat and play his attacking game.
Dhoni has been one of the greatest captains for Indian team winning 3 ICC tournaments. His main challenge in Australia is to lead a young side and if does to win in Australia then he might continue as a captain for some more times.
He has retired from test cricket last year. His team reached the semi finals of the ICC World Cup 2015. Before the World Cup his team failed to win a single game in the tri series involving Australia and England.
