Naman Ojha, Jalaj Saxena put Central Zone in a commanding position
Central Zone’s batsmen, Jalaj Saxena and wicket keeper batsman Naman Ojha scored hundred for their side and send the inexperienced attack of the North Zone to cleaners in the Duleep trophy as the posted 344 before the stumps on the first day.
Opening batsman Saxena scored 110 before he got out while Naman Ojha continued his dream run scoring 122. Gautam Gambhir‘s men could not do anything special and their bowling was pretty ordianary.
North Zone fielders dropped 4 catches in the field, 2 of them were of Naman Ojha at 12 and 27. Jalaj Saxena also got a lifeline.
After electing to bat firsst, Central Zone lost Faiz Faizal (22) early. Robin Bisht couldn’t handle the pressure and lost his wicket for 20. From there on, Jalaj and Naman stitched a 140 run partnership in just 36 overs. Ojha completed his 17th First Class century
