Naseem Shah is the rising star of the Pakistan national cricket team. He made the debut last year against Australia in the Test series. He also became the youngest bowler (16 years, 359 days) to claim a Test hat-trick during a match against Bangladesh early this year. For his dream hat-trick, he has picked three great batsmen of this era.
In the recent interaction, Naseem Shah was asked to name three batsmen in his dream hat-trick. The pacer first picked Australia’s great batsman Steve Smith, who is famous for his unorthodox tactics. Smith is the No.1 Test batsman, scoring 7227 runs in 73 Tests. In white-ball format, he has scored 416 runs in 125 ODIs and 681 runs in 39 T20Is.
For his second wicket, he picked England’s genius cricketer Joe Root, who is also the Test captain. Root has so far played 92 Tests, 146 ODIs and 32 T20Is for England. He has accumulated 7599 runs in red-ball cricket, while 5922 runs in ODIs. In the shortest format, Root has 893 runs to his name.
Naseem Shah picks Rohit Sharma:
Naseem Shah selected his third wicket as India’s opening batsman Rohit Sharma. The attacking batsman has, so far, played 32 Tests, 224 ODIs and 108 T20Is. He is the second-highest scorer in the shortest format, scoring 2773 T20I runs. He is also the only cricket to register three double ODI century.
Interestingly, he snubbed Virat Kohli, who is the greatest batsman of the modern era, in his list. Naseem said that saying that he doesn’t get intimidated by the Indian captain.
“I hope that I can bowl well against India when that chance comes by and won’t let our fans down. As for Virat Kohli, I respect him but don’t fear him,” said Naseem.
