Yet another controversial turn took place in the cricketing career of Alex Hales. The flamboyant striker of the ball received a ban for using drugs, which is his second time in the career. Meanwhile, the former skipper of England, Michael Vaughan isn’t impressed with Hales, who asked him to stay away from the showpiece event.
Alex Hales has been handed a 21-day ban from cricket from recreational drug use, according to a report from The Guardian. However, the England and Wales Cricket Board hasn’t announced any official statement.
Should not be near ICC World Cup – Michael Vaughan
Meanwhile, the former English cricketer Michael Vaughan reflects on the issue. He feels that there should be no sympathy for Alex Hales, who did the same thing for the second time in his career. He asked the board to make him stay away from the ICC World Cup 2019.
No sympathy what’s so ever for Alex Hales … 2nd time he has failed a recreational drugs Test !!!!!!!!!!! Should not be anywhere near the WC squad imo

Recently, the right-handed batsman missed the start of Royal London Cup campaign for his county side Nottinghamshire. The club, on last Thursday, had started that Hales had “made himself unavailable for selection for personal reasons” and set no date for his return.
This is not the first time for Hales to involve in such things. Earlier, Hales was fined and suspended for his involvement in a nightclub altercation with teammate Ben Stokes in Bristol in 2017.
The 30-year-old Hales was given a six-match one-day international ban in December. He had already missed two games and the remainder of the ban was suspended for 12 months so he could be available for selection.
Alex Hales has been named in the 15-man squad that was announced by England for the ICC World Cup 2019. However, he might end up on the wrong side of things, as the latest reports aren’t going on his way whatsoever. They might even consider the mindset of the player, who is undergoing such poor incidents in his real life.
