Mohammad Siraj

Mohammad Siraj is the latest fast bowling sensation to have arrived in the Indian domestic scene. Along with CV Milind, the U-19 star, Siraj formed a potent fast bowling attack which helped Hyderabad dominate the opposition greatly with the ball. He was the third highest wicket-taker this season with 41 wickets in nine matches.

While Milind made it to the India A side, Siraj had to wait for his chance. With lead fast-bowler Mohammad Shami unavailable and India’s first choice fast-bowling trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma in top notch rhythm, maybe giving an opportunity to the young Siraj in the home series would have given him a great exposure.
