Marcus Stoinis will add more fluidity in the batting line-up with his counter-attacking style of play. The 30-year-old can also be used as a pinch hitter at the top as the all-rounder possesses terrific power and timing. Stoinis can blast any good-length delivery with his destructive stroke-play. Stoinis is basically strong at the middle and leg area but can pull the ball crisply if it is just short of a length.
Stoinis also possesses excellent hand-eye co-ordination mostly on fast wickets. He can also bowl intelligent medium pace combined with his clever slower ones. Stoinis can even surprise the batsmen with his cutters and seam movement. He has scored 136 runs in 19 T20 Internationals along with picking up nine wickets. Stoinis has racked up 473 runs in 29 IPL games with 15 wickets to his name.
