Revealed: Yuvraj Singh Wants This Actor To Star In His Biopic
Biographical films on cricketers is the latest trend in the Indian film industry. The fans have already witnessed movies on Mohammad Azharuddin and Mahendra Singh Dhoni this year and are bracing up for the biopic of Sachin Tendulkar. These movies have been very well-received by the audiences and there is absolutely no doubt that if a movie is made on Indian batting star Yuvraj Singh, it’ll be a huge hit at the Box Office.
From scoring 84 against an all-conquering Australian team in his first innings to hitting six sixes to starring in two victorious World Cup campaigns and last but not the least, making a miraculous comeback to the cricket ground after recovering from cancer, his life story has all the ingredients to become an ideal Bollywood film. And now, the Punjab batsman has revealed the name of the actor who he would like to see his portray his role in his biopic.
Recently, during a chat show with Bollywood actress, Neha Dhupia, Yuvraj revealed he would like to see Akshay Kumar playing his role in the biographical flick.
He said:“Well I don’t know who relates to me the best but as a Punjabi boy I think Akshay fits in that category.”
Expressing reservations on the idea of a biopic, he further said:“Biopic is very personal. I am not sure if I would like to go for it…someday when I decide to hang my boots and sit on it, I may(think about it)…not at the moment…,”
Yuvraj also said Aditya Roy Kapoor of Aashiqi 2 fame can play his role too.
Meanwhile, the batsman, who is currently out of the Indian team, tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Hazel Keech last month.
