Karnataka’s prodigal son, Krishnappa Gowtham has said that he rates Rohit Sharma a better captain than Virat Kohli and given reasons behind his claims. There has been a lot of talk going on in the media that suggest team India opting for a split captaincy pattern between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Team India’s recent failures in ICC events have added fuel to the fire as many people are now opposing Virat Kohli’s leadership skills in major tournaments. Keeping in view, the ICC T20 World Cup later this year, a lot of people have now voiced the opinion of handing over the T20 captaincy to Rohit Sharma.

When asked to pick a better captain between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Krishnappa Gowtham went with the former citing the same reason. “I would say Rohit Sharma because I’ve played in his team and we won the tournament under him in the IPL,” he told host Adarsh Raman on Insta live with CricTracker. Moreover, he also went to pick MS Dhoni as the best captain of the cash-rich league.
