Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma said there is no need to panic for the Mumbai Indians outfit after losing their opening game of IPL 2016. In the IPL 2016 opener, Mumbai Indians (MI) lost against the new IPL team Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) at Wankhede on 9th April.

On Wednesday night, Mumbai Indians will play against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their second IPL 2016 game at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Ahead of their second game of IPL 2016, MI captain Rohit Sharma said, “We do not want to panic, but will work hard. It will be a good game as they (KKR) know the conditions well but we are geared up for it.”

Rohit Sharma also talked about their criticism after the first match lost. He said, “We want to focus on playing and not see what is happening outside. People will talk because we are probably one of the popular teams in IPL history.

Rohit also said that the team needs to take time for settle down with a new combination. Rohit spoke out on it, “The initial games are always challenging as it is about getting together as a team. It has to do with the changes brought about by auction where you buy and release a lot of players. The challenge is to identify the right combination and field your best side as early as possible.”

Eden Gardens is known one of the favourite ground for Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians has well recorded on this ground as they won 4 IPL matches against KKR in this ground out of 6 IPL matches (MI lost 2 IPL matches against KKR in Eden Gardens). In the overall records, Mumbai Indians beat KKR for 11 times out of 16 matches while KKR only managed to win 4 matches.
